The most well-known volunteer opportunity with Habitat for Humanity is working on the construction site. No construction experience or skills are required, but volunteers must be at least 16 years-old to work on-site. Construction volunteers help us build two to three days a week year-round. Volunteers undertake dozens of home construction tasks such as framing, vinyl siding, interior trim, painting, landscaping and many other types of projects. Volunteers are scheduled on both an individual and team basis.
Do you love organizing or do you have experience in retail? Our ReStore receives donations of new and gently-used items, which we sell and then use the proceeds to help build homes. Items received include furniture, appliances, building materials, housewares, clothing and many other types of items. Volunteers must be at least 14 years-old to to work in the ReStore, and we invite individuals and groups to volunteer. The ReStore is always in need of people to help assist customers on the sales floor to sort, clean and prepare donations to be sold.
