Meet Tiaerra Goodine

For Tiearra Goodine, home has always meant something more than just walls and a roof—it’s where love grows, laughter echoes and memories are made. Now, she’s one step closer to building that kind of home for her three children: Kaiden (10), Raelynn (6) and Khylil (5).

A proud Cleveland native, Tiearra has worked hard to create stability for her family. After a short time living with her mother, she moved into a unit through the Cleveland Housing Authority. While the three-bedroom space has provided a roof over their heads, the single bathroom makes mornings hectic and Raelynn still shares a room with her younger brother. Tiearra is excited for the day her daughter can decorate a room of her very own.

While juggling work and nursing school at TCAT for a year, Tiearra stayed focused on her goals. Today, she works as an LPN at Life Bridges and absolutely loves the people she serves. Her heart for others shines through both at work and at home.

Together, she and her kids enjoy swimming, movie nights and their favorite holiday tradition—icing Christmas cookies as a family. Kaiden is a Pokémon and basketball fan, Raelynn is all about makeup and dancing and Khylil could watch Toy Story 3 on repeat. Tiearra dreams of adding a pool to her Habitat home one day—a place where her kids can splash and play and feel the joy of a space that’s truly theirs.

For her, having a home means more than a new address. It means having a driveway to park in, a space to breathe and a place where her children can grow up knowing they are safe, supported and loved.

She once thought Habitat was out of reach. But over the past few years, Tiearra has come a long way—reconnecting with the program through work and walking forward in faith. Now, she’s filled with gratitude and hope as she begins this journey to build something lasting for her family.

Because as she teaches her children: anything is possible… one day at a time.
