Moore Family

Kelli's grandkids know how to keep Kelli on her toes. but Kelli would not change a thing. Except, for their current housing situation. The Moore family has always been close and willing to support one another. Kelli stepped up by becoming the sole provider of her three grandchildren: Kaia, Parker, and Quentin.

Despite living in the home for 15 years, it is not maintained by their landlord. The floors are in awful condition, windows allow hot and cool air to escape, and mold has been growing around the seals. "Luckily, our rent has not increased but even so, the condition of the house is unacceptable," shared Kelli. "Especially, the mold issue”. Along with the issues with the home itself, the location is not ideal for Kelli's family either. "I feel unsafe letting my kids play outside," shared Kelli. "It is a heartbreaking thing. The boys love playing football but I just worry."

Being a grandmother and mom is challenging to balance, but it is Kelli’s favorite thing. When speaking of her family her face lights up and joy fills the room. “Kaia is interested in gymnastics and the boys are going into their first year of football and I just love watching them play,” shared Kelli, “I’d love for them to have a great home to come home to and have space to have fun.”

Kelli is excited for a home she can always afford, keep clean and the stability it will bring her grandkids. With such a great space, the family has spoken of getting a dog. “We just never had the space,” shared Keli. “Now that will be one of the first things we will be looking for, a sweet dog. Small though.”
