Meet Victoria LaTour

For Victoria LaTour, family has always been at the center of everything she does. She is the proud mother of five children—her adult children, Shawn and Terrah, and her three children still at home, James (18), Jessa (13), and Marisa (12). Whether they're catching a Tuesday movie, gathered around the table playing board games, or taking scenic drives through the mountains, they treasure the simple moments they share together.

After a season of uncertainty, Victoria and her children found stability in a rental home. While they have been grateful for that place, she has continued to dream of something more—a home that truly belongs to her family.

Victoria has devoted her career to supporting children and families during some of life's most difficult moments. Through every season of her own journey, she has also been surrounded by an incredible support system of friends, coworkers, and siblings who have continually encouraged her along the way.

The thought of applying for Habitat for Humanity's homeownership program had lingered in the back of her mind for years. Then, last fall, she felt God gently leading her to take that step. As she completed the application, she was overwhelmed with a sense of peace, confident that He was directing her path.

For Victoria, homeownership means more than financial stability, though it will ease burdens and allow her to invest more in her children's futures. It means knowing her family has a place that is permanent—a place that is solid, peaceful, and filled with hope.

More than anything, she looks forward to walking through the front door of a home that has been built just for her family. A place where every memory will be their own from the very beginning. A place where her children can continue to grow, laugh, and build a future together.

For Victoria, home is peace. It is security. It is the opportunity to create a legacy of stability for her children, knowing they finally have a place to call their own.
