Meet Pam Stripling

Born and raised in Bradley County, Pam Stripling has dedicated more than two decades to serving children as a Speech Therapy Assistant with Bradley County Schools. Since 2003, she has invested not only in helping her students find their voices, but also in reminding them every day that they are loved, valued, and accepted. The same compassion she extends to her students is evident in every part of her life.

For years, Pam rented while quietly holding onto the dream of having a home of her own. As housing costs continued to rise, that dream seemed increasingly out of reach. Encouraged by a friend, she applied for Habitat for Humanity's homeownership program—a decision she now sees as a life-changing opportunity.

Throughout this journey, Pam has been surrounded by the unwavering support of what she lovingly calls her "Tribe": her daughter, siblings, family, and friends. Their encouragement has helped carry her through every step of the process.

To Pam, homeownership means far more than having four walls and a roof. She envisions her home as a place of peace—a refuge where not only she can find rest, but where friends, family, and neighbors can also experience warmth, tranquility, and belonging.

Looking ahead, she hopes to continue extending that same spirit of compassion by becoming even more involved in volunteer work and ministry, using her home as a place to encourage and uplift others.

Reflecting on this journey, Pam simply says, "I didn't know that I could be here." Yet today, she stands as a testament to what hope, perseverance, and community can accomplish together.

Her story beautifully reflects the promise found in Jeremiah 29:11:

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
